I received this jacket yesterday and had to wear it out in the snow today.  First impressions were that the jacket was very light weight and I thought I may be slightly cold but it kept me plenty warm.  The material feels very durable and the wrist gaiters seem even better than previous year ROMP jackets I own (180 switch).  As mentioned the cotton material used on the sleeves and pockets isn't as highly waterproof as the core of the jacket and over time I expect this to get a little wet but today with man-made snow blowing all day the snow didn't stick or make any of that material wet!  I think there might be a typo on the site as the jacket doesn't have mesh-lined exterior ventilation zips but even without them i'd still highly recommend this jacket.  You will have a hard time finding a brand new current model year jacket this nice for $220.
